District 26-3A Softball Records

418chart

The district picture has been cleared up since last week’s games.

The Canyon Lake Hawks have clinched a playoff spot and will now look for a win over Navarro next Thursday night at the Hawk diamond.

Wimberley beat Navarro which knocked the Panthers out of the playoff picture.

The only possible scenario that could cause problems would be Wimberley losing both of their games next week and Fredericksburg winning their games.

That would force a tie for the last playoff spot between the Texans and Billies.

The district has been pretty predictable after the first round of games and Fredericksburg has a very good chance of winning their two games.

Stay five nights and get the sixth night free!

Wimberley could lose the game against Bandera, but a loss at the hands of Boerne seems unlikely. The Texans beat the Greyhounds 11-0 in their first go round and nothing has happened to give hope of an upset.

The tea leaves has Bandera, Canyon Lake, and Wimberley as the teams to qualify for the next round.

The Hawks have a good chance of accomplishing a goal no other team has done. A second place finish would be the best finish and better seed for the first round of playoffs.

No other Hawk team has qualified with a second place finish in district play in their short history.

The Hawks would play the third place finisher of District 25-3A. Four teams are presently tied for first with 3-1 records.

Burnet, Lampasas, Liberty Hill, and Taylor are log jammed in the district race. The Hawks would face the team that finishes third in that group.

A win in that round would put the Hawks up against the winner of District 27-3A, that team draws a bye in the first round of playoffs.

Right now Somerset is that team. The Bulldogs beat Bandera earlier in the season 5-4, which is the only common opponent.

If the Hawks can take care of business, then the future games will be fun to watch.

The Hawks last game is this Maundy Thursday at 6pm at Canyon Lake.

Go Hawks…..go where no other Hawk team has been before.
