Track and Field Continues to Improve

The Girls and Boys track team are preparing for the Regions that will be run the first of May. The following numbers will give you an idea of where the Team was two years ago and where they are now.

The Hawks keep getting closer to the bell cow of the District 26-3A, Fredericksburg. Canyon Lake is now in its second year of having Seniors and the numbers keep improving.

Three years ago the Hawks could only muster 35 total points. This represents all the points for the Junior Varsity and Varsity for both the girls and boys in the District Meet.

Two years later, Canyon Lake totaled 461 points and coming in second place in District total points.

Canyon Lake will be sending the most athletes to Regions and if you have seen the times of the Junior Varsity, then you will see how this will be an annual event.

The future for Canyon Lake could not be brighter than the numbers you see below. This is truly a good time to be on the bandwagon….read and enjoy.
