Volleyball: BCS Passes by Austin Hill Country
The Bracken Volleyball team used a good passing game to overcome the Knights of Austin Hill Country, 25-23, 25-14, and 25-19.
The game started like it would be a give and take series, but the Warriors stated clicking and the Knights just could not keep up.
“We had great ball control on defense,” Head Coach Shaunna Teuton said. “The team was helping each other and did not let down.”
This time Coach Teuton was stating the obvious. The Warriors did not have any one girl dominate, Bracken was playing like the ‘Borg’ on Star Trek the Next Generation, as the collective.
The win ties BCS with Kerrville OLH after the Hawks were beat by Austin Waldorf.
The District seems to have some good competition at the top of the league.
This should give the young Warriors enough to think about in order to staying away from a let down.
Becky Korkosz seemed to be on top of her game leading the team with digs and two blocks to the taller Knights.
Caitlin Pruett also helped the caused with three aces in the match.
The Lady Warriors next game will be September 27th at Holy Trinity. The JV girls start at 5pm and the Varsity at 6pm.
