Baseball: Hawks End Season with Loss to Boerne
The Hawks finished up they’re 2012 Baseball Season last Saturday in Boerne as the

team will work on one sure thing to get better…get older!!
This team played with a majority of players that have yet to get their driver’s license this year and many times the result was painful for the team as Canyon Lake took a lot of bumps and bruises throughout the campaign.
Finishing with Boerne did not do any favors for the Hawks as the two game final series was seeing where this team hopes to be in the future…but that will only come with time, practice, work outs, etc…
Travis Walker had the hot bat to end the season getting four hits in his last six at bats. Walker finished his third campaign for the Hawks and will be counted on in a big way for his Senior season.

Michael Brady had a double with his three hits in the first game and kept up is torrid pace of throwing out base runners. Brady finished the season throwing out two runners in the last two games.
So a disappointing season will hopefully be a spring board for the template of past Canyon Lake teams two years ago, when the younger players learned from the school of hard knocks.
The graduation of those teams was highlighted by many T-Shirt companies having a banter season in the CL market.
In other words…Hard Knocks this year and Hard Hits next year.
