Hawks Sweep Last Two Games in Llano Tourney

Canyon Lake Baseball team rebounded with two wins in the Llano Tournament last Saturday.

The two wins were a welcome relief after losing their first two games of this tourney.

The Hawks beat Austin St. Michaels for the first time since starting the program, 5-4.

Travis Walker had a strong six innings of work before giving up the mound for Austin Headricks to help end the inning.

Kyler Huff ended up pitching the final inning and getting the win.

Michael Brady continues to have a high on base percentage as he finished with one hit and three walks.

Peyton Sipila and Daniel Camarillo both finished with two hits in this contest.

In the second game CL started off great with a five run inning and used that spurt to coast to their second win.

The Hawks hit double figures in hits as Ryan Hutcheson pitched for the win with four innings of work.

Michael Brady and Tyler Vinson both finished with two rbi’s a piece.

Canyon Lake finished with five of their 11 hits for extra bases which helped to keep distance between these two clubs.

Brady had a double and single while Logan Felch got his swing back and swatted a triple and single.

This game will help as CL prepares for District 27-3A play during Spring Break.
