CL Hawks Beat Bandera as they go for Sweep on Friday

Canyon Lake only needs one more win to sweep the series with Bandera.

This series was a must win for Canyon Lake as a loss would put the Hawks in a hole since Bandera is at the bottom of District 27-3A.

This game was won with the pitching of Cody Powell who recovered after a tough start in his last outing.

Seven strikeouts and giving up just one three hits was just what the doctored ordered as CL was also held to just three hits in this win.

Six errors by the Bulldogs certainly helped at Canyon Lake had six batters reach base by an error on Bandera giving an extra six outs for CL which all but sealed the deal.

Canyon Lake will conclude the three game series Friday night in Bandera as hopefully this much needed momentum will help propel the Hawks to a much better run for the end of district play.

Corey Shedrock had two of the three hits in this contest as he teamed up with Travis Walker and in scoring two runs a piece.

A four run second inning would be all the runs Canyon Lake would need while Powell and Kyler Huff polished off this Bulldog team.
