If Bracken Christian can see the end of the tunnel then they better be sure they are not running on a train track.

Sugar Land Logos will be a much improved team this year and the Lions even showed a much improved team during the playoffs last season after a Warrior blow out to begin last year.

There has not been a Houston area 6-man team with any teeth for a long time and this might be the year those teeth are revealed from a Lions mouth.

Very little is known about the Lions as they do not have any write ups in Houston papers but based on Coach speak from Bracken’s Lloyd Fields, this team is fast and has added some additional players to the roster for this season.

Bracken on the other hand will be preparing after a loss, which does not happen very often these past few years.

Last week’s game was disappointing and the potential is there, but putting all those weapons together will be the number one objective as this game gets bigger in the headlights.

The Warrior defense was suppose to be a strength going into this season, but after a lethargic pre/season contest with SA Castle Hills…you could see that those questions have yet to be answered after allowing 61 points to Austin Hill Country.

Bracken has only allowed 60 or more points six times since the Warriors picked up their first football in 2006 and the 141 points in the past two games has never happened.

Granted that 141 points does comprise two different teams from two different years. Those records will need to be minimized as the Warriors but on their armor for battle this Saturday.

Better play from the defense along with a more consistent offense will have to be dialed up against another team that would like to do nothing else but give BCS another loss which by the way would equal the Warriors longest losing streak since that same 2006 campaign when that losing steak hit seven games.

One item you can take from that Austin Hill Country team would be their ability to score on Bracken.

Of those six games of being scored on more than 60 points, three of those games were with the Knights.

This game will certainly go four quarters as Sugar Land had to go into that fourth quarter before they could put SA The Winston away.

Will Bracken respond in a positive way?

That is the question to be answered this Friday night in Houston.
