winning track as the scheduled matured through the season.

“They got tired of losing,” Head JV Coach Jimmy Chamberlin said when asked about how this turnaround started.

The Hawks hung a loss on Navarro for the season finale Tuesday night, 37-28.

Navarro came back from their five point deficit after the first quarter to forge into a 17-16 advantage at intermission.

Canyon Lake then outscored the Panthers by 10 points the second half for a Hawk 9 point win.

The Hawks were led by Sydney Johnson and Caitlin Mabry with 14 and 11 points respectfully.

This win bodes well for a Hawk Sport that fell on some hard times these past few campaigns.

The good news if looking at a Varsity that has Freshman and Sophomores that now has a chance of adding this group of girls into next year’s roster.

Now this time next year, you could be reading how CL might be adding some games at the end of the schedule called playoffs.
