District Boy’s Track & Field Times and Distances
The District 27-3A Track & Field Meet will be held this week at Canyon Lake and another good time to get out of
Bailey Drum and the Hawk Track Team is Jumping to the Finish Line this Week
the house or off work to see some good athletes.
Canyon Lake will have some athletes that bares watching this week.
Christian Dittman will be performing the Pole Vault and he has all the Hawk records and looks for an opportunity to take his act further this season.
Last year the district track teams voted to take the top two athletes which did away with a meet in the area that would have had a chance of weeding out times and distances for the Region Meet.
That decision resulted in ousting Dittman last season for a chance to take his act to State. This district so happened to have three of the best Pole Vaulters in the State which was sad to see an athlete with that potential sitting at home.
Bradford Door Works supports Canyon Lake Track & Field
Another surprise athlete in Brandon Courtney has a chance to make some noise this week. Courtney is just a freshman….Blake Walker is another trackster that had a great 200 Meter Dash two weeks ago and it will be fun to see what he might uncork this time around.
The Mile Relay also got an invite to The Texas Relays after qualifying with a 3:30 and they will also be wanting to break that mark.
Austin Kahil has been having some good throws with the Discus and Gordon McCleary also might be able to bring some points in those events that take some braun.
To suffice to say, this is a good time of the year to come outside and see what might transpire in the heat of competition.
