This week there will be some District 26-4A games as Canyon Lake will not start their quest in district until Tuesday, September 16.
The Hawks will be teeing off their district campaign at home with Yoakum. For this week, your Hawks will be on the road when they play La Grange.
This district will certainly have several teams that will make going to games an intriguing event. Five of the seven teams will be sporting a winning record, so there will not be many nights you will survive playing a sub par game.
Canyon Lake has eight losses, but compared to other years when entering district, the Hawks have not had as many weapons offensively and their defense has several girls getting floor burns getting to digs.
Last year, CL entered this part of their season with 14 losses but were still sporting a record over the .500 mark.
This Tuesday’s game with La Grange should be a good marker to judge where this Hawk team will be as that flag goes down on their race to a District 26-4A Crown.
Records for Players that lead in their stat category for the season thus far.
