Hawks Soccer Finishes With Win & Tie against Bandera
Canyon Lake’s Boys Soccer team tied up Bandera as they rebounded from a tough loss to Boerne and went on the road for this hard fought game.

Senior Goalie Buddy Glass made 6 saves while Junior Mike Thorpe scored the Hawks goal with Grayson Rohrbacher getting that assist.
Canyon Lake has started district play with a 0-1-1 first week as this was also the Hawks first tie for the season.
The Hawks will be at home this Tuesday when they welcome Fredericksburg to the Hawk Nest.
The Billies come into this game tied with Boerne as both of those teams have yet to lose.
This game will be another good game and with a Hawk win, CL would stake a hold on one of those coveted playoff spots.
Remember that this Soccer season, District 28-4A will play each school in a round robin three times. So, there is still a lot of soccer to play and this first round will be completed this week as each team will have faced each other once.

Gordon the Plumber Supports Hawk’s Soccer!!
Canyon Lake Lady Hawks beat Bandera 4-1 as CL came back with vengeance after suffering a loss at the hand of Boerne last Tuesday night.
“Ball movement was excellent,” Head Coach Ryan Tierney said. “Dynamic movements off the ball were key to our success.”
The Hawks were led in scoring by Christy Fowler once again with 3 goals with Iola Favell joining Fowler with CL’s other score.
Mia Hernandez who had been nursing an injury was also a big help as she was in on 2 assists in this win.
This win was big in that with District 28-4A playing each team 3 times gives CL an idea of where they stack up with their district partners.
This week, Canyon Lake will be playing Fredericksburg and Wimberley and will have a good idea of where they sit in this year’s race.
The Hawks will be on the road this week as they will visit the Billies on Tuesday while playing in Wimberley on Friday.
