=======================================
Canyon Lake will be starting Softball this week as well as the Golf and Track team.
The Hawks continue to add some solid classes from Mountain Valley and you will start to see the spring sports starting to show case their talents.
Case in point will be this year’s Softball team as CL lost just two seniors on last year’s squad and will only have two seniors this year.
This type of participation will start to show those lower division of teams with much more pizazz.
The Soccer teams are filled with many freshman and sophomores as well.
Canyon Lake will need to start getting some mojo in Soccer to help in moving up in the district standings.
The Hawks Boys Basketball team will play their last game this Tuesday with Yoakum and several seniors will finish their career playing for CL.
Skyler Tschoepe and Sean Nolan are two seniors that are moving up on the All-Time Leaders board in many of the stat categories and watching them play their last game will have some good memories for them and the other seniors.
The Boy’s Hawk Golf team should be decent this year as Garrett Winters and Skyler Tschoepe will be using their talents to help this sport to lower scores and higher finishes.
Last week was not good as far as winning games and hopefully this next few days will start to see better results.
Track and Field will debut as Canyon Lake will skip the Blanco Relays and replace that date with their own Meet to start this year’s schedule.
The Hawk Relays will also be on a Saturday instead of their usual first meet that was run on Thursday.
Softball will start in earnest with the Navarro Tourney where there will be several games in a two day period and much more will be known from this year’s squad after that tourney ends.
Baseball will also have their final week of scrimmages as that sport will be off and running after their games this week.
Get ready as each week from now until May will be filled with many games and events.
Go Hawks!!!
