Hawk’s Offense is Defining Futile in Loss to Cuero, 2-0
Canyon Lake’s baseball team name has now been introduced in the definition for, futility, as the Hawks have now been shut-out 4 straight games, 2-0 in Cuero last Friday.
CL has a batting average of .106 during this streak as the Hawk pitchers had another game keeping Canyon Lake close enough for a win as their bats have grown cold.
The two pitchers that started those last two games were the only Hawks to have a hit in this game, Cody Powell with a double.
There is still a lot of time to turn this around as District 26-4A has just finished their first week of action.
On the pitching mound Canyon Lake has been going strong as the Hawks have been exemplary in these last four games.
Canyon Lake will not go to bat against Wimberley this coming Tuesday at the Hawk diamond where CL will try to turn the tables and put their bats in the oven.
futile: ‘adjective’ incapable of producing any useful result.
