This season is rapidly coming to a close but you can see from the schedule above that The ReSporter will try to get some Mountain Valley Sports to end this season.

Sophomore Brandon Courtney will be looking for a chance to run in Austin as he attempts to qualify in Region Meet this week

Baseball and Softball will be active the rest of this school year and there will be some good things to see as the future of those two sports will be on stage.

As for Canyon Lake, the Baseball team will have their last game against Gonzales this Tuesday as there will be several Seniors making their last game in the Hawk uniforms.

CL has two track athletes that will be attempting to qualify for the State Meet when they travel to Kingsville for the Region Meet.

Brandon Courtney has improved his time in the 300 Meter Hurdle event and has been under the 40 second mark in his last two meets and if he can continue that trend then he will certainly be in the hunt for a chance of competing again in Austin.

Courtney is a Sophomore and just for the record, that 4×400 Meter Relay team that ran a 3:26.68 last week was composed of 2 Freshman and 2 Sophomores.

They did not qualify, but you can see what the future holds for this Hawk Track team and this will be a fun time of year in the coming seasons.

Junior Bailey Drum will be competing in two events at Kingsville as she qualified in the 100 Meter Hurdles and Triple Jump.

Drum will have her best chance of advancing to Austin in the Triple Jump and that will be another good cap to a successful Track season for this young lady that continues to shine for the Hawks.
