This Week @ Canyon Lake

The Hawks had a decent week with a 3rd place finish in Volleyball, finishing, 6-2 for the week.

CL fashioned a 6 game winning streak during the Tex-Fest Wimberley tournament after missing by one game for a chance of playing for the championship game.

Canyon Lake will be waiting to see what the prognosis for Senior Outside Hitter, Addison Farley, who turned her ankle right before the Semifinal game with Peaster was about to start.

With that loss, Canyon Lake had to revamp their line-up and just could not muster enough to take that match.

This week, CL will be at home on Tuesday when they face Lockhart and then on to San Antonio for another tournament in the Northeast District starting on August 20th.

The football squad had a good outing in their first scrimmage against Gonzales last week and will be taking the field once again this coming Thursday as they will travel to Medina Valley for their last scrimmage before the season starts in earnest the following week.

Be watching for signs of improvement as this year’s edition will be young and having a visual test will be good to assess this team as the Blanco game looms right around the corner.

The ReSporter is still asking for people who might want to have an ‘Ad’ for this school year.
