Canyon Lake Volleyball is in a position to win a District Championship with not only the Varsity but also the Junior Varsity can also have a chance in being in a district champion situation.

CLJV has just one loss to La Vernia in the first round of district play and have been undefeated since that contest.

La Vernia has 2 losses and so at this writing, Canyon Lake would have a big contest with the Bears next Tuesday and if a win can be got, the Hawks would have two District Champions under their sign. A Bear loss in one of their next two games would clinch a Championship for the Hawks.

Cross Country has a chance this Monday of getting into another Regional Meet as last season the Boys did the trick.

The Boys team is talented and young and with their best meet the last time out running at this same location. CL will have a decent chance for some more Hawk Pride to be shown.

Canyon Lake had a good week in Football as all three teams took their games with Bandera serious enough to get rolling.

The Freshman had the week off and now will be ready to play Fredericksburg at home this Thursday while the Junior Varsity is starting to hit their stride as they will travel to Billie country in hopes of continuing their undefeated district and a chance of becoming Champions.

Thursday’s are becoming a fun outing at the Hawk Field as Mountain Valley also won their games against Liberty Hill and both 8th Grade A and B teams have a legit chance of repeating their District Championships.

The evenings are cool enough tor some entertainment and a chance of seeing the future as all the teams are enjoying great seasons.

Don’t forget the Volleyball teams will be in action at the Hawk Nest this Friday before the Football game with Fredericksburg.

Canyon Lake is ranked 7th in the State in one poll and a chance to come to the last home game and show a potential District Champion Team compete against their biggest rival.

The Freshman and JV teams play at 5pm and then the undefeated Hawk Varsity will take the hardwood in hopes of starting a winning streak against Wimberley.

Go Hawks!!
