Canyon Lake had a good week as they swept the Fredericksburg Football team, playing 4 games against the Billies.
What is interesting is how each Hawk defense held Billies to 6 points: CL Varsity Won 17-06 Junior Varsity Won 23-06 CL Gold Team Won 24-06 CL Freshman Won 14-06
The Hawks will have the same system of where the teams are playing as this will be another home game for the Varsity meaning the JV will be playing in Taylor and Freshman playing at home.
The CL Gold team will not play this week and their next game will be against San Marcos on November 5th.
Canyon Lake Gold team is undefeated, the Canyon Lake Freshman team is undefeated, and the CLJV team has a loss but are undefeated in district play as they go into this week’s game.
In that Varsity game, both Taylor and Canyon Lake come in with a 2-1 record and the winner will have second place all alone and with a victory will be able to clinch a playoff spot.
The Hawks will be trying to avenge their last second loss last year and get above .500 record going into their last game.
Cross Country Boy’s will be in Corpus Christi on Monday for their Region Meet which is also their second time to qualify after finishing third in district last Monday.
Two years in a row and some good young talent might be a sign that more good news will transpire as these boy’s improve with each passing year.
You can read more about this Hawk Team with an earlier article just published.
A quick inventory has a slew of good news for the Fall Sports as Canyon Lake has their first Championship in Volleyball, the Cross Country Team finished 3rd in District and qualified for the Region Meet, and Football is in position to make the playoffs for the 3rd year in a row.
Then you have a JV Volleyball team fighting for a district crown on Tuesday while all the Sub-Varsity Football teams are in position to win a district title and also have unblemished records.
Come out and watch the future and stay tuned to The ReSporter as the news comes you can catch the scores as soon as they become available on this site.
Go Hawks!!
