 ===============================================

It has now been 13 weeks since the Hawks started in earnest with this 8th Edition of another year of Volleyball.

You can go back even further for many of the athletes as many players have a very short vacation from when they finish their regular season and start with their club team.

So now your Hawks have been part of one of the most remarkable sporting events for Canyon Lake when this group of young ladies can now say they can look down from their mountaintop and see every District 26-4A team below them.

Take that in for a moment….this Hawk team has won the whole enchilada and from the picture above you can see how satisfying all that hard work has done by seeing those wide smiles.

This Tuesday will be the final game for the regular season and then a new chapter will begin with the start of the post season.

There is still one item that has yet to be finalized for district seeding as Wimberley and Cuero still have a chance of ending this campaign with a tied record.

The Gobblers will have a good chance of a win as they face the winless Gonzales Apaches and with a chance of still playing more, then you can realize this Cuero team will be fired up for a win and then to their messaging to see what might be happening with the Texans.

Wimberley will end this round robin district schedule at home playing Yoakum which is one place above Gonzales as both of the Bulldogs district wins are against them.

Canyon Lake will end their regular season in La Vernia as they will attempt to end this year with an unblemished district slate.

It would be a huge upset for Yoakum to win their game with Wimberley as this contest will be on the road to boot.

Taylor looks to be the first round game opponent for Canyon Lake next Tuesday which could possibly be played at the same place as last year’s tilt.

There is another bit of unfinished business with Canyon Lake’s JV team as they will have a chance for an outright Title if they can take care of La Vernia on Tuesday.

CLJV team lost a heartbreaker on Friday and will need a win on Tuesday to get a district title of their own.

Many milestones for this year’s club and below The ReSporter will share some of those accomplishments that have been reached.

**First Win against Fredericksburg (1-11)
**First Win against Wimberley (2-12)
**First Team to Win a District Championship
**If CL beats La Vernia then the Hawks will have a 39-39 district record.
**Tied with 2014 team with 25 sweeps.
**CL is guaranteed the lowest amount of losses in a season as they presently have 8 this year.
**With one more win, the Hawks will have most wins in a season they are presently tied with last yr’s group of ladies.
**Have most district wins with 11 and a chance to get that record to 12 with win over La Vernia.
**Presently have a 15-0 record against 4A teams.
**Presently have an 8-0 record on the road.
**10-1 Home record beating last year’s 8-2 slate.
**Presently on a 19 game winning streak.
**Was only swept in 6 games beating last year’s team that finished with being swept 9 times.
