Teams will be fighting in earnest to keep their season going starting this Monday, November 2nd as the 4A Division will have 128 teams in the dance for a chance of playing at Curtis Culwell Center in Garland Texas.
The Hawks have to get through the Region IV schools that span from Liberty Hill to the Valley.
On the Bracket above, The ReSporter has the 16 teams that will be battling for a chance to continue playing in a Regional Semifinal game in San Antonio at the Blossom Athletic Center.
Exciting times as your Hawks have a legit opportunity of making more noise as they have proven through their hard work of what is possible.
There will be many quality teams this next three weeks and Canyon Lake will be up in the echelon of those teams after some decent competition throughout this year’s schedule.
That La Grange road win is a game that is shining bright as the Leopards are ranked above the Hawks in the Texas Girls Coaches Rankings and will be coming out of Region III.
Beating Navarro twice also raised some eyebrows as well as winning a game against 6A Clemens who just swept Smithson Valley for a third place tiebreaker in their district.
A road win over Fredericksburg was fun based on having a goose egg in wins over the Billies a former district foe.
Liberty Hill won their district and CL might have a chance of meeting the Panthers in San Antonio. That win against LH was the first game this season and so many changes have transpired through these last couple of months.
In a nutshell, there is no room to mark a win at this time of the year, since a flat game could mean a flat tire going home.
Canyon Lake will have a 20 game winning streak going into their game with Taylor this Monday night and a Hawk Nation Crowd would be a great way to start this road to Garland Tour.
Go Hawks!!
