Canyon Lake had a great and disappointing week as the Volleyball team wrapped up their district schedule without a blemish and then a heart breaking loss in football to Taylor on Saturday.

CL Volleyball team will hopefully have two games this week but at this writing, The ReSporter can only give you the for sure game on Monday in Lehman gym at 7pm.

The Lady Hawks will be playing Taylor for their first round just like they did last year.

If Canyon Lake can come out with a win, then the next game will be played on Thursday-Friday-or Saturday.

With Hawk Football playing their last district game on Friday, a guess of a game on Thursday or Saturday would be a safe bet.

You can read more about our Volleyball team on previous articles posted, but there will certainly be more this week as Canyon Lake gears up for a decent chance of advancing past the Area contest.

So a win on Monday night will mean another game later this week, so stay tuned to see where this Hawk team might be heading off to for their next victim.

CL’s Freshman and Junior Varsity football teams will both be in tilts against Boerne as both clubs are undefeated in District 14-4A play.

This year’s sub-varsity football teams have done a good job of representing the Hawk community as all three teams continue to excel.

Another shout out to CL’s, Cross Country campaign, as this year’s CL Boys placed 20th out of 27 teams and individually Adam Wiesel finished 73rd out of 180 runners.

Building for the future is the legacy for Cross Country as well as all the sub-varsity teams competing this Fall.

Basketball will be starting up quickly as the girls team will start competing one week before the boys get going.

Go Hawks!!
