2016 Football Schedule and Football Awards
Canyon Lake has finished their Football schedule for the next year and their will be a taste of Austin with those games.
The Hawks have been middling along in that 4th place spot in district for many of their playoff gigs and will be hoping for moving up that ladder this time around.

The Hawks will be a year older but that will match other clubs that had our number last year too.
Blanco has certainly made a statement in their games with CL as they have dominated this first game of the year the past 3 years with a shut-out at the hands of our Blanco friends.
Scoring just 13 points in those past 3 games has led to Canyon Lake having to dig themselves out of a hole each of those years.
Austin Reagan will represent a 5A school as Giddings lost a total of 1 game last year.
The Hawks will be trying to end their 2 game losing streak to Lampasas and then another date with Austin Akin before district play starts.
In District 14-4A, the Hawks start in Austin for their game with Eastside Memorial.
Boerne and Taylor will be repeat teams for CL to stop those two game skids and work on getting another playoff year.
With just 5 teams in district play, will tell you that one team will be eliminated after that 4 game schedule.
Fredericksburg is one team that Canyon Lake has had success against since football was started.
Four of the games will be played against a school for the first time.
The Hawks will start with a 3A team and then that next week meet up with a 5A program.
Add to that of playing a 6A school in Austin Akin before the district schedule would commence.
Should be a lot of fun this upcoming season and all of the Football-a-hol-ics you now have just 170 days before August.

This was not a year for a big senior class but those seniors that stayed with the program did make themselves a group that will be hard to forget.
