Canyon Lake had a hard fought loss to Navarro on Friday as the Hawks split their games last week after winning against La Grange last Tuesday.

This will be a new happening this week as Canyon Lake decided to treat the CL community to a home game as Austin Akins will come to the Hawk Nest on Tuesday.

The Lady Hawks will then travel to Wimberley to play the Texans before the Football game later that night.

A good time to watch the Hawks against a rival and catch a game of football before going home.

CL has 2 weeks before district will start in earnest as the Hawks will be going where no other Hawk team has gone in defending a District Crown.

You can see the opponents on the standings above and The ReSporter will do some homework with common games to give you an idea of how each team stacks up in that respect.

This year the Hawks will have 3 schools that have shared a district race in the past.

CL’s record with those 3 teams is not glowing in giving enthusiasm. On the flip side those games were in the past and the Hawks of the future is looking bright and hopefully the records below will all be increased with two Hawk wins before the next realignment takes place.

Canyon Lake has a two game losing streak going with Boerne and Bandera won their last game against the Hawks.

Fredericksburg was beaten by CL last year for the first win much like how the Hawks treated Wimberley that same campaign.

This will be a crucial two weeks as Canyon Lake will look for improving their team play so they can also be able to say they were the first team in CL History to repeat as a district champion too!!
