Lucky’s Bar & Grill says                 Beat the Panthers

Well last week ended on a sour note with a loss in the second round for this year’s Volleyball team while Canyon Lake’s Football team found another way to lose to those rascally Ducks from Taylor.

That loss knocked the Hawks out of a chance for their first district championship but this team did raise the bar with a 2nd Place Seed which is the highest Canyon Lake has reached in football.

CL’s Volleyball crew did knock off Wimberley last Tuesday giving them a chance for their 3rd Area Round contest in a row.

This time the opponent was Needville and this Blue Jay team was certainly on their game against the Hawks.

CL said good-bye to 6 seniors but the legacy of good teams continued with a good season for the Lady Hawks finishing, 26-12 and a second finish in district.

Later this week, The ReSporter will have the All-Time List compilation so the Hawk Nation can see how those previous CL Hawks and this year’s team are on those record charts.

Football will now have a date this coming Friday night in Liberty Hill at 7:30pm when the Hawks will be looking in the mirror as they will face another slot-T offensive school.

This should be a good battle as Canyon Lake will attempt to prolong this, win or go home, time of the season.

If you cannot make the game then you can tune in to Canyon Lake Broadcasting for the play by play.

Girls Basketball will start their season this Tuesday as this game will begin with a new Coach in Zach Burleson at the helm.

There will be two games this week with a game this Friday at the Hawk Nest that will allow you to see a Hawk team while listening to another with the Broadcast of the football game.

So, no excuses in taking every Hawk team into your sight and supporting both this Friday.

Boy’s Basketball will be going into their final week of practice as they will begin their season next week.

Basketball has raised the bar as both the Boys and Girls were in the playoffs last season and both have a chance of getting higher into the stratosphere in hopes of reaching the rim of success.
