Megan Browning Memorial Service at CLHS Auditorium this Saturday 11am

                            Megan Browning

The ReSporter has learned that the Hawk Family has lost a beautiful young lady and wanted the community to know of a memorial service for Megan Browning this Saturday, will be held, at Canyon Lake High School.

Megan was an all around sport athlete as there was not a sport she did not participate in.

She led the Hawks in Assists in her Senior Year for Volleyball and was part of the first ever Hawk Sport Team to qualify for the Playoffs in CL’s second year of competition.

When Volleyball was over there would have no moss growing around Megan as she would be an active participant for the Hawk’s Basketball squad next.

She was on the Best Hawk basketball team as they won 20 games in making the playoffs.

The ReSporter once told Megan during an interview following another win, that her bank-shot from 3-point line, would not count since she did not call it (like you do when playing the game of HORSE).

Megan looked at me with a bewildered look and said, “Really?”. Of course after a smile and chuckle, I would retract my, ‘all knowing’, comment to help put her at ease.

This young lady would take her basketball skills to play at Hendrix College in Arkansas after graduation.

But, Megan would not be finished as she would leave the hardwood for a softball and finished out her school year playing Softball.

She ranks as one of the best left fielders to this day for Canyon Lake.

Stan and Sandra Browning would love for you to be in attendance this Saturday with their invitation below.

A truly smart and articulate lady that is now enjoying the fruits of knowing that Death has no Sting when you are a Believer in Jesus Christ and that is our hope when we say good-bye to this world.

I am glad that I had an opportunity of getting to know Megan and will hope that the Canyon Lake Family will let the Browning Family know that they have our support during these trying times.
