Ranger Cleaners says Go Hawks!!
In Basketball, Canyon Lake will start their district games this Tuesday when the girls welcome Boerne and the boys will have the Hondo Owls coming to the Hawk Nest on Friday. Both of the games will be live streamed on Canyon Lake Broadcast (CLB).
The girls won their only contest last week against Lampasas and now have a steep hill to climb as CL is a member of one of the toughest districts in 4A, with 3 of the 5 teams having a residence in the top 25 in two major polls.
The Hawks were off during the opening of district play and Boerne and Fredericksburg were both winners while Hondo and Bandera came away with opening losses.
CL has a lot of potential and had some good games up to this point and seeing how this group of ladies can grow as this season progresses would be an interesting sight to keep an eye on.
CL’s Boys Basketball will have an important game with Wimberley on Tuesday and then start off district play at home against Hondo.
The Texan’s game will go a long way in seeing how well the Hawk’s have progressed since their last contest with Wimberley in coaxing a win this time out.

The team is more settled but you can say that WH will be further along in their maturity too. Not a far drive to catch this year’s Hawk Basketball squad.
Soccer is going well with scrimmages still going strong for both Boys and Girls. The Girl’s team is off and running (which is good based on how cold it has been) this week playing 5 games.
East Central San Antonio will start the week off with a home game before going to Fredericksburg with 4 games over a span of 3 days.
Keep warm and bring some victories back home.
Softball is in the batter’s box as February nears and a full slate of practices and games forthcoming. The ReSporter will have some lead-off articles as we get closer to starting. This team could be a fun group to watch as the Freshman team hung a lot of skins on the wall at Mountain Valley Middle School.
So you will need to have you laces tied up as more sports begin their seasons in the next 3 to 4 weeks.
