CL Hawks Volleyball Sweep San Marcos Summer League

            Hawks Strike a Pose for what they hope will be many more this upcoming Season.

Canyon Lake’s Volleyball Summer team won the San Marcos Summer league last week as this crew of players jump start the expectations on what might be another banner season.

The Hawks entered the tournament as the #3 seeded team and faced off with the #1 seed and undefeated Seguin in round two.

Canyon Lake won in 3 sets, with their other two conquests coming against Luling and Blanco that won the title.

Seguin had been undefeated through the whole summer and CL won, 25-12, 26-24, and 15-13.

Canyon Lake lost their quarterback in setter Regan Mickey who finished her career as a 4 year starter and leaving with an Assist mark that will be hard for future Hawk’s to top.

Faith Hasness will be in her Senior year and seeing her name on three of those top 5 categories will see this young lady ready to move up on those charts.

Canyon Lake beat Blanco after losing the first set and rebounding after winning the next two sets to advance in that match.

CL vs. Blanco: 22-25, 25-23, 15-10.

Canyon Lake’s Volleyball will be hitting the nets on August 7th when your Hawks will host Liberty Hill and Clemens with games starting at 10am.
