MVMS 7th B Team made Billies Resistance ‘Futile’ in Loss, 30-8

After game talk with MVMS 7th B squad after win over Freddie, 30-8

Mountain Valley 7th B Squad made mincemeat out of Fredericksburg after a convincing, 30-8 victory.

This Hawk team would remind the old-timers of the show, Star Trek the Next Generation, when the Borg was taking over worlds and they were often quoted as saying that, ‘Resistance is Futile.’

That was the scene on Thursday at the Hawk Nest as the Billies had no way of keeping this onslaught of yards from being piled up by MV and eventual win.

A running clock starting in the 2nd Quarter will let tell you all need to know as the press box tried to save Fredericksburg from further damage.

Mountain Valley started the game with the ball and drove 54 yards in a conventional manner taking 7 plays for the Chevy Standifer 7 yard run.

Standifer was a preview of many other Hawk runners as this Chevy finished with a, 10 yard per carry, day which would be a good average for many MV runners.

Enter Landon McLaughlin who had a 74 yard romp that looked more like 18 Wheeler going down hill with a full load, leaving the Hawks with a, 16 point lead.

It would get worse, with Zach Robuck being next up and a 21 yard run to paydirt as the Billies would continue to be piled on with more dirt, 24-0.

With Zach Delinger running for 7 yards for the next TD, as the goal line would keep Delinger from grabbing more rushing stats. This last drive was when the clock would not stop, much like the Hawks as this 7 yard run was preceded with a 11 yard tote from Preston Ramos and then an 18 yarder with Josh Dunlap getting in on with the deluge.

The game was ‘Futile’ for Fredericksburg as they scored a mop-up touchdown in the 4th quarter with a drive that went for 46 yards and giving the Billies enough gas to get home after this contest.

A dominating win as Mountain Valley will have a date with La Vernia next and hopefully there might be another life form that will not be any resistance.

Go Hawks!!
