CL Hawks Have Dry Run in Loss to Sunnybrook, 58-43
Canyon Lake Boy’s Basketball took one on the chin in their loss to Sunnybrook Christian Academy, 58-43 on Tuesday night in San Antonio.

This Brook went dry based on how Sunny it was, leaving Canyon Lake with an all-round bad shooting night.
Zack Taliiaferro was the only Hawk to reach double figure scoring with 11 on 50% shooting. There was not much more that CL could muster against a much taller group of players.
“We played really well other than not making shots,” Head Coach Lucas Chapman said. “But they started 6-8, 6-6, and 6-6 guys and they were able to redirect a lot of our shots.”
Shooting right under 30% was the culprit as turnovers did not contribute to the failings on this night with 14 for the game. That would be a number a team can live with except with a dismal shooting touch, it was inevitable after falling behind 14 points in that first period, 23-9.
The Hawks will try to get a win this Friday when they travel to La Vernia and meet the Bears before the Christmas Break.
