Softball: CL Hawks Get Back on in Sync with a, 9-2 Win over Llano

Canyon Lake Softball team got back on the right track after taking care of the Llano Jackets tacking on 17 hits in their win, 9-2.

The Hawks were on a 2 game losing streak and needed this win before starting District 28-4A play in a week.

Bailey Bryan continues her hot streak after a 4 for 4 night knocking in 5 teammates. Bryan is now leading the Hawks with a .556 batting average with 25 hits and 19 runs batted in.

K Puente has started to get her game going at the plate with a hot bat during her last two games and with some power hitting a triple and double.

Having players raising their average from lower in the the batting order is important for a team that needs to have rallies for more than one or two runs per inning.

The Hawks did solve the Jacket pitcher in those middle innings and the hit parade had begun for the remainder of this contest. With 15 hits staring in the 3rd inning and having a 6 players reaching base with hits in a row.

There was some good pitching along with a good night with a defense not having any errors after a sloppy game in their loss to Wimberley earlier this week.

Canyon Lake will be back in action this coming Saturday when they will welcome former students for their second Alumni game at the Hawk Nest.
