============================================================
This is a busy time of year with 5 different sports at the beginning to ending of their respective schedules.
We will start off with Canyon Lake’s Volleyball squad after finishing as the 3rd Seed in District 28-4A play will start their Post-Season with a battle against Burnet at Dripping Springs with game time starting as 6:30pm.
It has been a long time since the end of July into the Fall Season and this group of ladies will enter into CL’s 6th consecutive season with a chance of advancing through playoff battles.
Burnet will be the opponent as this team finished as the 2nd Seed in a tough District 27-4A. It has been a long time but the Hawks won a contest with the Bulldogs during a Tex-Fest Tournament in Wimberley on August 10th.
This Hawk team has not finished their regular season on a high note and will go into this battle on a 3 game losing streak. If you can make the short drive to Dripping Springs then come out and support these Ladies.
You can come back to The ReSporter for updates on future dates and times for Volleyball after they take care of Burnet this Tuesday.
Canyon Lake’s Golf will have a two day district tournament starting this Thursday while the Hawk’s Swimming crew will be finishing up the week in Burnet for the Small Team Invitational.
Basketball will be in full gear the start of next week and the Boy’s team will tip-off their year with a game with former Hawks on Saturday starting at 10am. Should be a fun time for those CL players from previous years.
Football suffered their first set-back last Friday in a loss to Fredericksburg but still hold their own destiny by winning out and starting with their last home game against Lampasas. Come for this Senior Day and give the Hawks support for a strong ending to this regular season.
And Go Hawks!!
