Canyon Lake has wrapped up their Volleyball season after splitting last week’s playoff schedule and a sweep of Burnet on Tuesday followed by being swept Bellville on Thursday.
This Hawk Sport continues to lead all sports in overall winning percentage but this was a tough campaign after ending with a losing record. It was the first time since 2014 season. That year, that Hawk team finished with a 1-9 district record as this crew still continued with at least one victory in Post-Season play.
Football had a tough week with their 2nd loss in a row with one more regular season contest this Friday at Liberty Hill. This Panther team will be the best school CL will have played and performing on high note is a must as the Hawks look to finish with a good seed for their Bi-District bout that was clinched earlier after the 2nd week of District 14-4A Div I play.
This week will also be the opening curtain for the Girls Basketball Team and a chance to see how this group of ladies will respond after finishing their best year going 3 games after district contest finished.
CL opens on the road against Brooks Academy on Tuesday. This will be their only bout for the week and will start in earnest the next week.

The Lake’s Boys team will be looking to continue their success of reaching the playoff plateau as this crew will have scrimmages with Lockhart and La Vernia at home this Tuesday and Saturday.
A good chance to come out and see how this round-ball teams go to work in hopes of good seasons.
Don’t forget Canyon Lake’s Sub-Varsity Football teams, as they will kick-off their last games on Thursday at the Hawk Nest against Liberty Hill. If the Junior Varsity can pull off a win then they will claim a District Title.
