The Lady Hawks will finish their regular season on Tuesday on the road in Bandera on Tuesday.
If The Lake can come out of that battle with a win then they will lock down at least a tie for the 4th Seed in district play.
Wimberley is the other school on the dance floor and the Texans will be playing Boerne on the road for their final contest.
Having one team lose and one team win would have the victor all alone. The other scenario is having each team with a win or loss and together both would tie for that last playoff spot.
Pretty cut & dry in figuring what happens next for the Ladies Basketball Team.
On the Boy’s Basketball side, the two losses last week has formed a log jam for those next 3 logs (teams) to be picked.
Canyon Lake has two home games this week and winning both would clear up that aforementioned log jam.
A loss to Bandera would be a fatal blow in playing this winless district team. First things first on Tuesday and seeing what might happen next on Friday when Boerne enters into the Hawk Nest.
Boys Soccer continues their season after two wins last week, while the JV Squad also coming out victorious on Friday in getting a sweep over Pleasanton.
This week will be restful for both the Girls and Boys as they use this time to get their legs back and heal those lingering aches and pains.
The Soccer’s District 28-4A will start up a week from this Tuesday for both Hawk teams.
CL’s ladies have improved leaps and bounds in hoping that continues with their start of district battles.
On the Boys side, this group has the makings of making some noise as they will enter district play sporting an 9-2-1 record and face an always tough, Fredericksburg & Boerne Schools each year.
This year has Wimberley and your Hawks with a better record and the only way of knowing who has the best chance cannot be deciphered by looking at their non-district contests or records.
There are too many different teams played to give you an idea of which club that has an upper hand.
Canyon Lake has beaten some good schools and will hope that their resume might be bolstered these next 4 weeks as the round robin district schedule kicks in gear.
Softball and Baseball get going this week with the Baseball squad facing two teams this Monday and Friday. The Ladies will open their schedule on the road at Boerne Champion on Friday.
Golf starts up as well this week with both boys and girls taking their clubs to Navarro.
Go Hawks!!
