Let’s Go Hawks!!
The busy time of the year will on this week with several sports going strong.
First off, CL’s Ladies Basketball will meet Liberty Hill on Tuesday at Dripping Springs for their first round of post-season play.
Last week, Canyon Lake beat Wimberley as a ‘Play-In’ contest for the right to claim the 4th Seed of District 28-4A as both Schools were tied after district play finished last week.
Another win over the Texans for a chance to continue….Liberty Hill ran through their district with a 9-1 record and seems to be hitting on all cylinders. But, that is why they play the game, with some breaks here and there for a chance to continue.
Playing this Bi-District game like the Hawk Nation saw in that final quarter would be a good start. Canyon Lake disposed of those pesky Texans with a 16-2 period and win.
CL’s Boys laid an egg in their contest with Boerne as they failed to reach double digit scoring in all 4 quarters in a wipe out of epic proportions.
The Hawk Boys will play their final district game in Wimberley on Tuesday with a win securing a 3rd Seed. The Lake has already clinched a playoff berth.

Way to Go Hawks!!
Soccer will start their district this week when the Girls go on the road to Boerne while the Greyhound Boys pay a visit to the Hawk Nest.
This contest will give a good idea of how CL will do with a Senior laden team and 9 wins going into Tuesday night.
Both the Boys and Girls will have a district bye on Friday, but the Lady Hawks will host Pleasanton while the Boys go to La Vernia.
This Wednesday, Canyon Lake will open their season hosting their Track Meet and seeing where both teams stack up will have some answers to how this season might pan out.
CL Baseball will have their final scrimmage week while Softball starts their season on Tuesday hosting Yoakum and then a 3-Day Canyon Tournament starting Thursday thru Saturday.
The ReSporter did not get the results from last week’s Golf Tournaments and both teams will travel to Llano with clubs in hand.
Good Luck and Go Hawks!!
