Lady Hawks Lose Bi-District Game to Liberty Hill, 46-29
Chelsea Tschoepe finished her 4 year career in every top-ten stat category.
Canyon Lake’s Ladies Basketball team were beaten by a better defensive team in their Bi-District contest and ended their season with a, 22-11 season after loss to Liberty Hill, 46-29.

This group of Seniors left their mark on a lot of All-Time Hawk Records after having most of these ladies starting a high school career with 4 years of playing basketball.
“This group fought through some adversity and I think it’s a testament to making it after starting off 0-4,” Head Coach Zach Burleson stated. “Most teams give up. We did never did.”
Coach continued to reminisce bout the Seniors, “I will miss them. And I’m really proud of them…Especially, their effort and heart. What I’ll miss most is just being around them and getting to know what great young ladies they have become. They have represented the Canyon Lake area and made us proud.”
This class started their with a 17-19 record their freshman season and then went crazy that next year with a 31-7 record and CL’s first District Championship in basketball. These last two seasons have a combined, 44-25 record.
That record has The Lake’s Ladies Basketball, with an overall record above .500 now with the next season this sport will start the season with 171 wins and 164 losses.
That Record Book has now been inundated with names from this Senior group with all those categories having 2 or more on the list.

Chelsea Tschoepe scored 11 points with three 3 pointers which tied her with Reagan Heun for the most makes from long distance.

Jessie Melendez finished with a high of 6 rebounds and will walk across the stage in May as the all-time bounder by 237 over Chelsea Tschoepe’s number (617).
Assists from Lainee Moses and steals coming from Marley Carrizales will show how much these players will be missed.
And, don’t forget Sophia Barber who played for the Varsity these last two seasons and now hold the all-time 3 point shot makes for a season of activity. Barber passed Heun by 12 makes from beyond the arc this year and now holds that mark with 65 makes.
Those lists above show how well this group competed and persevered through countless games and shows the worth and now these losses will open many new spots for next years team.
Three years of over 20 wins will hopefully continue when the next year comes calling.
