CL Hawks Tennis Sweeps Bandera Bulldogs, 16-0

Ella Moore and Isabella Smith were one of many Hawks on the winning side of the Tennis Courts while sweeping Bandera, 16-0.

Canyon Lake’s Tennis team swept the Bandera Bulldogs, 16-0 in their match earlier this week.

It was the Hawks first sweep of a team with every boy and girl winning both singles and doubles matches.

“I tried to shake up our boys doubles by putting Colby Jackson with Shawn Bell and Gabriel Lara with Zachary Elson,” Head Coach Mickey started. “Both teams seemed to have a better chemistry and the guys liked the change….Mason Bolin paired up with Tanner Adams in one of the boys number three doubles while Travis Parma paired up with Gwynn McCutchen to win mixed doubles.”

The Hawk ladies were just as successful in their matches.

“Haley Gallagher and Cecilia LaLonde won the top seeded doubles on the girls side,” Coach Mickey continued. “Isabella Smith and Ella Moore paired up to win the number two spot.”

Canyon Lake’s sweep was decisive as all the Hawks got into the action as there were happy faces all around the courts.

Harley Jackson and Natalia Campos played well together in winning the number three spot.

Canyon Lake will meet up with the Boerne Greyhounds next Tuesday when the first serve commences at 4pm at the Hawk Nest.
