Canyon City Grill says Go Hawks!

Canyon Lake took care of Beeville Jones last Friday with another top notch offensive display. Even in that Wimberley loss to start this year, had a Hawk offense that was above average based on starting slow out of the blocks in previous years.

The Lake finished with 4 players breaking the century mark on the ground which was a first in school history. That previous week, CL had 3 players break 100 yards which had been done just once before that performance.

CL’s passing game was not in sync but that was not needed after being so successful on the ground.

A La Grange win over La Vernia shows that Leopard win had a little more value added with that score, 32-28.

Lampasas has to be the odds on favorite this year after taking the Texans with 29 point win. A blow out over Stephenville and Brownwood adds to an impressive resume with another good opponent against China Spring this week.

                  Let’s Go Hawks!!

Fredericksburg still has a question mark on their season as the Billies have not had a game that would say, Wow, yet. Their win over Gonzales does not give much ammo for their guns.

This week, the Billies take on Wimberley, which should help Canyon Lake judge Fredericksburg strength.

Burnet had their first loss to a Boerne team that the Hawks scrimmaged before games started for real. A scrimmage will be the only measuring stick until more games are played.

Austin LBJ will start their season against Liberty Hill as both teams have been on the shelve thus far. A good start for both teams and for Canyon Lake a good chance to see how LBJ can handle a slot-t offense.

Taylor is still searching for a win after a loss to Giddings, as these Ducks, are on a 15 game loosing streak.

Another week to see what District 13-4A will stack up with more eyes waiting to see what the new kid on the block will do (Austin LBJ) against Liberty Hill.

Let’s Go Hawks!!
