District 13-4A Division I showed some resolve in this past week’s contests.

                    Go Hawks!!

Fredericksburg only loss to Wimberley was rectified when the Billies traveled to Boerne in winning a nail biter, 25-24.

The Billies have shown that their record is legit and certainly a team that can score points in bunches.

Burnet won on the road in Robinson after a tied first half came out sand shut out the Rockets in the second half while doubling their score on the offensive side of the ball.

Austin LBJ lost to a very strong SA Cornerstone team that had beaten Calallen (24-20) this season and had a similar result with LBJ.

This loss for this Austin school shows this will not be an easy game on any District 13-4A school’s schedule. Losing by just 7 points was similar to Calallen’s loss showing a top defensive opponent in those upcoming district slated contests.

Lampasas has run into some bad luck having to cancel their last two weeks of action. This Badger team is still the class of this district in proving with their 3 wins to start this season.

Taylor will have a hard time getting off the mat as the Ducks go into their open week without a victory.

Canyon Lake will team up with LBJ in being the only schools having games this Friday.

The Hawks go on the road, again, to Blanco and hook up with a Panther team that has been on fire with only one set-back against a solid Shiner team.

Short trip for the Hawk faithful as there might be some families actually having a shorter drive to Blanco than a home game at the Hawk Nest.

LBJ’s game against Manor will go a long way in showing what might be in store for CL coming in two weeks.

Go Hawks and beat the Panthers!!
