MVMS 8A Run Roughshod Over New Braunfels MS, 46-28

Mountain Valley 8A squad completed their 2nd win of the season after dominating both sides of the ball in their convincing victory over New Braunfels Middle School, 46-28.
“Our kids have been working hard in practice everyday to get better and today they saw that hard work pay off,” Head Coach Brandon Pawelek said succinctly. “Our offensive line played great and the running backs had plenty of room to break away for some long runs. We tackled much better on defense and just played more aggressive than our previous weeks.”
The Hawks had some a strong running game with every component contributing as the running backs used a good effort by their offensive line to complete this cold (football weather) evening.
“Our backs were fast and ran strong in the cold weather,” Offensive Lineman Michael Anderson assessed. “We opened up a small hole and that is all our backs needed.”
Humility will go a long way as this win was just what the doctor ordered.
MV forced some turnovers with a block punt and forcing fumbles as all facets came together for this win.
A good chance to end this year with a two game winning streak and an overall, 3-5 record.
The Mountain Valley Hawks swept New Braunfels Middle School and will have their last game this coming Tuesday. The 8th Grade will be at home and 7th Grade goes on the road in battles against Pieper Middle School.
