District 13-4A District Standings & Breakdown for Bi-District Opponent
DISTRICT 13-4A DIVISION I STANDINGS Team W L Pct Lampasas 4 0 1.000 Austin LBJ 3 1 .750 CL Hawks 2 2 .500 Burnet 2 2 .500 Fredericksburg 1 3 .250 Taylor 0 4 .000 Last Week’s Results: Lampasas 40 CL Hawks 34 Fredericksburg 55 Taylor 10 Austin LBJ 18 Burnet 10 This Week’s Battles: CL Hawks @ Burnet Fredericksburg @ Lampasas Austin LBJ @ Taylor =========================================
This week will settle the seeding for post-season play for two teams.
The Canyon Lake vs. Burnet winner will secure the 3rd seed and the loser settling in at the 4th seed spot.
Lampasas and Austin LBJ are set at those first two slots while Fredericksburg will miss the post-season even if they upset the Badgers based on losing to the Burnet/CL Hawks loser based on head to head results.
This Burnet contest for The Lake will be an interesting contest after seeing such a close loss to LBJ by the Bulldogs which should give the Hawks notice this contest will be a tough out. Add that the game is on the road will give CL another hurdle to clear for realizing a win.
The Hawks played Lampasas to the final seconds showing this team might have things in place while peaking during the right time of the year for a possible run in the playoffs. Clearing the Burnet road block will pit Canyon Lake in a battle against La Vernia.
If Burnet can pull out a victory then CL will have a date against Boerne for that first round in the tournament.
Here are the two scenarios based on this Friday’s results.
A win has CL facing La Vernia in the Bi-District game and in a loss your Hawks would be pitted against the loser of this week’s Calallen and Port Lavaca Calhoun who are both undefeated in their district. Either team would be a tough outing.
Fun time of the season and as always, Go Hawks and Beat the Bulldogs!!
