Canyon Lake’s Sub-Varsity Football finished their season last week as Basketball will start filling up the dates on our calendar for the next 3 to 4 months.

The Hawks Junior Varsity won District 13-4A Championship in beating Burnet convincingly last week. It was the 4th consecutive championship for the Sophomore class.

CL’s Freshman finished their year with a loss in their battle against an undefeated Burnet team. If the Hawk Freshman could have won then they too would had been crowned champion. A 2nd Place finish in district play will have to suffice for now but the improvement for this group of young men speaks volumes for a team that was just one play hear or there in having a much improved record.

The Lake’s Varsity will go into post-season play against La Vernia this coming Friday at Canyon High School.

This will be CL’s 8th consecutive season making the playoffs and the football program has been a part of the post-season 10 out of their 13 season of competition.

Hawk Basketball will open their season on Saturday against La Vernia at home starting at 10 am for the Sub-Varsity. The Varsity will tip-off at the conclusion of those games.

The Lady Hawk’s Basketball will begin their season on Tuesday in Poteet.

A short drive for the Bi-District outing compared to last season’s Bi-District in Bryan. Come out and Be Loud!!
