Canyon Lake Hawk Freshman Beat Pieper Warriors, 24-8
The Hawk Freshman dismantled the Pieper Warriors, 24-8 in a game that the final score did not do justice for The Lake’s dominance.

The CL Defense held the Piepers to 3 first downs with the only negative coming from one first down that had 93 yards attached to it.
This Warrior crew discounting that one touchdown run were held to under 2 yards per run which also translated to one reception on 14 attempts.
James Garza was the workhorse with 22 carries for 143 yards and one touchdown and several first downs to his credit. Carter Williams also broke the century mark with a 22 yard average per attempt while totaling 109 yards of real estate.
CL’s defense had 2 more catches than the Piepers had receptions with Kaiden Lewis, Garza, and Williams who has 5 thefts this season or one per game.
A host of Hawk’s had some sunshine moments and Jesiah Rodriguez being able to top off those accolades scoring the final Hawk touchdown on a 23 yard run.
Canyon Lake’s Freshman will be in action next Thursday with a home game against Austin LBJ.
