Another week has shown just how lethal Boerne is after posting a 5-0 record last week and making a mark with 4 wins in a Corpus Christi tournament. A loss to Georgetown being the Greyhounds only blemish and G-Town being ranked 20th for 5-A schools according to THSB poll.
Way to Go Hawks!!
Canyon Lake went undefeated this past week and did win against.a tough London squad and the two losses to Dripping Springs and a Victoria East team who was beaten by Boerne this past week.
Davenport and Fredericksburg played .500 ball and Wimberley and Bandera lost more games than they won.
There is still a week and a half left before district starts and fine-tuning will be a must these next few days.
Boerne will have two tough outings this week and Davenport will need to rebound and see where they stand when they face Navarro. The Texans will have a double-header with powerhouse Cornerstone.
As it looks now, Boerne and Canyon Lake look like locks for making the playoffs while the other 4 district schools seem to be on a teeter-totter with hopes of finishing on top with momentum before entering district play.
Both the Hawks (11th) and Greyhounds (2nd) moved up in the THSB poll as both schools impressed enough voters to warrant such rankings.

Bandera started hot winning 4 of their first 5 games but since then have lost 6 games in a row. Being outscored 49 runs during this streak which is eerily similar to how the Bulldogs played all of last season.
The Lake will be able to see where they stack up in Region IV when they meet up with Calallen next Friday.
A win would add some neon clothing for the Hawks who still are in the proving stage for coaches and press who make their choices on who is the best.
Canyon Lake needs a marquee win much like they had last season when sweeping Boerne and Calallen would fit that mode.
