District 13-4A Division I Standings & Recap

With each passing week a picture is getting clearer as each team has a better understanding on how good teams played are based on comparing teams to more data (games).

    MIMA’s TACOS LOVES THE HAWKS!

Davenport is still undefeated but when looking at those 3 opponents you will see an, 1-8 record so far which tells a story you can conclude.

Marble Falls has played teams with that same record of one win with eight losses. Lampasas’ three schools played have amassed a, 2-6-1 record.

Burnet (6-3) and Taylor (5-4) have played teams with winning records. The Bulldogs have played a decent group of teams that has Llano undefeated (3A school) and Brownwood has won 2 of their 3 games. Their two wins were Burnet and Marble Falls and that one loss came from Abilene Wylie a 5A Classification.

Taylor’s schedule was a loss to Gatesville (2-1) then wins over Robinson and 3A Rockdale schools. Gatesville’s, 2-1 record was Taylor and an (0-3) McGregor. Not a strong resume thus far.

Canyon Lake has lost to two teams with a combined, 5-1 record with that one loss by Boerne Champion against Eagle Pass. That set-back had the Chargers with 5 turnovers against a team that posses a, 3-0 record. Two lopsided victories and that 8 point win over Champion.

Taking Davenport’s game with Lockhart (3-0) out of this equation the total records of those 4 schools District 13-4A has this week you come up with a dismal, 3-9 record.

A recap of the above shows that District 13-4A Division I has not taken on a tough group of schools hence you will see 5 schools with winning records.

Burnet and Canyon Lake who have played a more menacing schedule both come into this week needing wins to even up or in CL’s case get out of the 0 wins columns.

Not a schedule that gives much rest for The Lake but should make this team battle tested for the rigors of that upcoming district slate.

Two more weeks on non-conference battles before the real deal starts up and this week’s Homecoming bout should be another tester for the Hawk’s defense against a Memorial school that has an impressive offense with an, 47 points per outing average.

Enough said….Start quicker Hawks!!
