District 13-4A Div. I Standings & Tie Breaker Scenarios.

Final district games this Friday after another barn-burner that had the top 3 schools taking care of business against those 3 lower teams in the district standings.

   GO HAWKS & don’t forget to VOTE!!

All 3 winners scored 42 points in their win and that leaves Marble Falls as the first team not playing for a post-season berth this week.

Burnet & Taylor will have that winner making plans for another week against Boerne and the loser cleaning uniforms.

Canyon Lake will need a win to have an undisputed first seed without needing a tie-break rule book to go through. Davenport will be a Lampasas fan hoping for a chance to share the top spot with both of those schools.

With a Hawk win, that would make it clear cut with all of the schools with one game of separation down the standings chart.

Now if CL loses by 1 or 2 points then they would still be a 1st seed based on their 3 point win over Davenport. A loss by 3 or more points would automatically give The Lake a 3rd seed without a chance to garner a 2nd seed to point differential in previous games.

Canyon Lake won their first district championship back during the 2017 campaign and that year had those Hawks going 3 rounds into the post-season finishing with a 10-3 record.

Below is District 14-4A Div. I top 4 teams that would show who that next opponent would play.

Somerset beat the Billies earlier this season, 21-10 and the Greyhounds beat Somerset, 34-14.
A Somerset win over Uvalde would clinch at least a 2nd seed and Uvalde would be penciled in as the 4th seed.
Uvalde two losses were to Billies and Greyhounds and a win over Somerset would give them a 3rd seed.
A Fredericksburg win over Boerne would have those top 3 schools in the same pickle as District 13-4A Div. I.
If Uvalde beat Somerset and Freddie beat Boerne then the Billies would be atop the standings followed by Boerne, then Uvalde (3rd seed) and placing Somerset as the 4th seed slot.
Having all the teams follow how this season has played out would give:

SEED   1st Boerne
       2nd Somerset
       3rd Freddie
       4th Uvalde

Clear as mud? Canyon Lake as a 1st seed would play Uvalde and an outside chance, Somerset.
Canyon Lake as a 3rd seed would have that other school being Fredericksburg. (Strong maybe)
