CL Hawks 2023 Season Football Schedule

Canyon Lake will begin a year filled with question marks for their football team. With the graduation of 27 players the Hawk’s coaches will have to work overtime to find those puzzle pieces of a picture that has goals of repeating as district champion.

The ReSporter had a Twitter and Insta-Gram series with Head Coach Charlie Drum earlier this year that posed those questions on how this year will need to do for another successful season.
Having 35% of your rushing yards returning and an astonishing 5% of CL’s receiving yards shows just how hard a climb this season will be for a group of players returning that accumulated 28% of the offense.
Not saying The Lake does not have the players to carry out a successful campaign as there are several players that did not have the ball in their hands enough to garner yardage or playing downs to raise their tackle numbers last year.
With those unknown variables then finding and putting those upcoming players in a position for optimal use becomes paramount when CL’s district slate begins.
On Canyon Lake’s roster for their Bi-District win over Uvalde their were 52 players that will leave those higher ups (Coaches) 27 players and finding others to help for a season that will need to change those ???? marks to !!!! points.
