                    ===================================

                            Go Hawks!

Canyon Lake had another decent week with the Lake’s Volleyball winning Akins & SA Cole with a nice caveat seeing Junior Chloe Gray passing the 1000 Assists milestone and finishing the week, 15-11.

Volleyball inches closer to district play in hopes of getting back into a playoff date but will need to bring there A-Game with the Reining 4A Champion (Davenport) and Wimberley (22-2 record) look to be ahead of the class.

Navarro is 19-10 and will be another tough hurdle to clear…that leaves Fredericksburg and Bandera as must wins with some surprises as play begins September 27th against the Billies.

Water Polo played it even after completing their last tournament in Round Rock.

These aquatic athletes started district with a win over Peiper, 9-6 which avenged their loss earlier this season with a non-district loss, 10-11.

The Lake will finish their District 25-6A slate with two home games later this month.

                        Way to Go Hawks!!

Tennis was on the losing side in their match with Ingram last week and this sport has a harder set of schools to ace.

Football had their first win on all levels as Freshman/Junior Varsity/Varsity finished with wins.

This week wiil be a tougher opponent in Navarro with the Sub-Varsity playing at the Hawk Nest and CL’s Varsity on the road with a 7:30p kick-off.

Starting the season against a state ranked school and then a team what was well below that standard finds this week’s game that should give a good barometer for this crew in their first season with a different offensive play book.

Let’s have a Great Week & Let’s Go Lake!!
