“Nine games in the Seguin Tournament were more than these girls have experienced in a while, especially because on day 2 we went 3 sets with two teams an and lost by 2 points,” Head Coach Daniella Villarreal said. “It was close competition and at times we got physically and mentally tired that held us back from finishing to win.”

The Lake started by sweeping that first day and then that next day were swept.

Coach Villarreal stepped in, “But we are right there competing well with solid teams, just need to learn to push through to finish.”

On what the Hawks will concentrate on as the season now morphs into a 2 games per week scenario, “Now that tournament season is over we are still working on our consistency and holding a lead when we have one. We have quite a few more non-district games to utilize our time best prepare ourselves for district competition.”
