Football: District 14-4A Standings (Updated)

District season has 4 more weeks left of action while 7 schools fight for a place at the table with hopes of being invited to dine with the adults.

                    Way to Go Hawks!!

Fredericksburg had their first district loss but will need one more to give Canyon Lake a chance to finish ahead of the Billies in the end due to the tie breaker rules. month.

This week still shows all but two schools still having one loss or less with 4 playoff spots available.

CLHS has a date with Uvalde on the road this week as each contest increases in importance for these schools. These Coyotes’ backs are against the wall and will be fighting for a chance to keep their chances for a playoff berth. A loss? Will certainly put them paired with Kennedy as two teams looking up at district hierarchy.

The loser between Freddie and Pleasanton will result in more separation for the haves and have nots. A Billie win would help secure a seat at the holiday table or a loss having the Eagles with a chance to get another chair at that same dinner playoff table.

A big game between Somerset and Davenport with each entering this battle sporting one regular season loss.

The Bulldogs, with a win, would throw a lot of scenarios back into the air while the Wolves’ being triumphant resulting in Somerset going back to the chalk board looking for a solution.

A fun time of this year where several schools with a clearer path of what this year might end up being and eating a dessert or looking for a doggie bag for scraps.
