CLJV Football Comes Back with a 14 Fourth Quarter Points in, 28-20 Conquest

Hawks Start & Finish in the Flow coming back to win, 28-20. Way to Go Lake!

The Hawk’s Junior Varsity had an Ebb and Flow contest and to The Lake’s credit they finished this contest on the Flow side of that ledger by pulling off two scores in the final 4 minutes to get this win, 28-20.

                       Let’s GO HAWKS!!

Ebb started this game after a sure touchdown pass that was dropped. Gavyn Baldera did not let that drop Ebb him as he was Flow for the rest of his catches with 5 not counting his 2 point catch that helped seal the deal for this final Flow comeback.

Lucky for these Hawks by starting and ending with Flow by winning out over Ebb had CL start the first two scores and then ended with two consecutive scores drives for a well deserved victory.

Don’t look at the stats (tea leaves) below for a hint on how bad we won since that would show a wrong conclusion.

CL’s defense was spot on when they held these Eagles 7 plays inside 10 yard line before a Pleasanton score (Ebb).

                          Go Hawks!

The Lake’s defense stopped the on an Eagles’ 15 play drive that started after CL threw an INT at Pleasanton’s end zone. Starting on their 20 yard line the Eagles reached The Lake’s 2 yard line and then a fumble stopped a potential back breaker. Flow!

That was when wrecking ball, Divan Hernandez was able to take the rock for a galvanized Flow for the last 5 running plays covering 34 yards and tying score, 20-20.

More Flow (Sometimes Called Momentum) would be oozing out of these Hawks when the Defense kept Pleasanton to 25 yards before forcing a turnover on downs and now needing 55 yards to pay dirt.

Flow was cruising with an explosive 25 yard reception for Baldera to the Eagles 23 yard line. That was followed with an incompletion before Ebb would try to take center stage that had CL facing a 4th down and one yard needed on the 16 yard line.

Holladay did not take a ‘Holliday’ (bet that has never been used before) on a running play for 10 yards with time becoming a precious commodity and still needing 6 yards for a win.

A Baldera’s jet sweep to the one yard line set up a final Flow play when Hernandez wrecked the Eagles Defensive line with a lot of Offensive Lineman’s help for a score. If that play would have been stopped then game was over.

Flow wins this game and now hoping for more Flow during this off-season as August comes calling again.

Congrats Hawks and GO LAKE!!
