Canyon Lake was successful on the won/loss ledger last week with Hawk’s Volleyball sweeping their two combatants. Sweep was achieved with their Gold & Green teams too!
The Lake will be at Blanco Tuesday & Randolph this Friday with a district slate two weeks this Tuesday with the Billies coming to the Hawk Nest.
Below are the Top 3 and district standings with a quick glance you can see who the have and have nots might be coming when that month of battles take place.

Football had a rebound week sweeping Crockett Cougars. Freshman beat Crockett’s Junior Varsity while Lake’s JV had the week off due to Cougars not having enough players to field another team.
CL’s offense had a coming out party passing for 273 yards with 4 touchdowns through the air. Hawk’s defense gave up one TD but no rest of this sport with a tough Navarro team coming to the Hawk Nest.
These Panthers come into this battle with the same record as The Lake and one encouraging stat coming from this last week was seeing the Hawk passing game starting to gel against a team that gave up a ton of passing yards in their loss.
Navarro is switching from the slot-t this year which, with most slot-t teams, who have problems in pass defense due to not practicing against a passing team week in and week out.
A chance to see more improvement as Canyon Lake will work on closing their 2-4 all-time record against Navarro.
Let’s Go Hawks and Win the Week!
